STORMUSI

About Stormusi

Hi, I'm Emma, a music teacher, mum, postgraduate student in education leadership, aspiring school music education leader, and the person behind Stormusi.

I became a music teacher because I love sharing music with others, and I'm a firm believer in the incredible difference music education can make to children's learning, development, and wellbeing.

I'm also passionate about curriculum development and finding ways to make teaching easier, more meaningful, and more accessible for educators. As a teacher myself, I know how much time goes into planning programs, navigating curriculum documents, creating resources, and ensuring that what we teach meets the needs of our students. I've often wondered how I could reach more students and support more teachers than I can in my own classroom.

That's where Stormusi began.

I started building Stormusi because I wanted to create something that could make a difference beyond my own classroom. My vision is to develop practical, curriculum-aligned tools that help teachers spend less time on the work surrounding teaching and more time teaching.

I'm particularly passionate about supporting generalist teachers who may not have specialist music training, but who still want to provide meaningful, curriculum-aligned musical experiences for their students. I believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the benefits of music education, regardless of whether their school has a specialist music teacher.

My vision for Stormusi Classroom

One of my biggest goals is to keep Stormusi Classroom free for teachers. I don't want access to useful curriculum tools and teaching resources to be determined by a school's budget. I want teachers to be able to access practical support, explore new ideas, and feel more confident in their teaching without worrying about another subscription.

Keeping an AI-powered platform running and continuing to develop new tools comes with ongoing costs, including AI usage, web hosting, and maintenance. I'm working towards making Stormusi sustainable whilst keeping Classroom accessible to teachers for free.

If you've found Stormusi useful, I'd love for you to consider supporting the project through Buy Me a Coffee. Contributions help me to keep Stormusi Classroom free, cover AI and webhosting costs, and allow me to continue improving the platform and developing new tools for our music education community. There's absolutely no obligation, and simply using Stormusi or sharing it with another teacher means so much to me.
